Rebecca Norton started off at a small, general practice firm in New Orleans after graduation in 2010. She later went to work as in-house counsel for an international supplement and cosmetics company, where she discovered her curiosity and passion for cultivating business growth and productivity. In 2016, she joined OPL and shifted her focus to adoption law. The transition to adoption law was effortless for Rebecca; she is a natural advocate for children and genuinely has their best interest at heart. This also led her to serve as a board member for Apex Collegiate Academy – a charter school in one of the most underprivileged areas of Baton Rouge.
As the Managing Attorney at OPL, Rebecca aids Todd with the demands of running OPL. You won’t often find her in the courtroom, she is usually at the office managing our adoption caseload and keeping our clients informed and happy. She is known around the office for her attention to detail, strategizing skills and keeping everyone on their toes – or making sure everyone is, looking alive, as she puts it. Rebecca is always quick to respond to client calls and emails and will always make herself available for your questions.
Rebecca loves fashion and art – she devotes time to working with artists to protect their work and manage their art as a business. She is an animal lover as well, particularly her 14 year old Boston Terrier, Hudson, and has agreed to serve as a board member for the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Animal Law Section in 2019. When she is not at the office, she is either fishing, at the beach or is still working hard – helping her husband, Brian, to build their new house in Baton Rouge.
